Emerging from the thriving New England underground metal scene, Fallen Monarch has officially released their new full-length album The Reflecting Grave, a powerful fusion of deathcore brutality and black metal atmosphere. With this release, the five-piece band delivers an unrelenting sonic experience firmly rooted in despair, chaos, and intensity.
Formed in 2020 during the height of the global pandemic, Fallen Monarch began carving their identity in the shadows of isolation. Their 2021 debut EP Turmoil introduced the metal community to their signature blend of towering blast beats, searing dissonance, and emotionally raw performances, earning comparisons to genre heavyweights like Lorna Shore, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Fit For An Autopsy. Since then, the band has built a loyal regional following through their intense live shows and dark, cathartic lyricism exploring themes of grief, nihilism, and mortality with unmatched ferocity.
Produced by Shane Frisby (known for his work with The Ghost Inside, Revocation, and Bury Your Dead), The Reflecting Grave is a 10-track odyssey through bleak, aggressive soundscapes—anchored by razor-sharp production and a clear artistic vision. The album’s lead single, "Lineage," debuts alongside a haunting new music video directed by Anthony Jarvis (Killswitch Engage, Agnostic Front, Death Ray Vision), bringing the record’s existential themes to life through cinematic storytelling.
The Reflecting Grave is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, YouTube Music, and all other major streaming platforms. Physical album pre-orders are now open for a release later this year via the band’s official website and Bandcamp page, and Fallen Monarch will continue to perform across New England and the Northeast U.S. throughout the fall and winter.
